Guest BaldEagle
I have read somewhere that processor speed doesn't really affect Internet access speeds it is all down to the modem. However, I am running 2 machines on 98SE one at 1.8GHz and the other at 266 MHz both have 56 Kbs modems but the second mentioned one is much slower at connecting. Some people say that tweaks don't work but can anyone point me to modem tweaks and I shall judge for myself.
Prince of Calcutta
i'm sure that there should be some difference with such a big difference in the processor speeds ? could be the amount and type of ram and hard drive too... since IE loads visited sites from the cache.. are both the machines on the same line ? different lines and if they are in different locations it would have some effect too ..ravinps:wouldn't it be better to have this in the internet related section ?
