homecomputeraid Posted December 17, 2004 Report Share Posted December 17, 2004 One of the reasons I STRONGLY recommend a Software Firewall for anyone using wireless, but especially those using public connections.Bear in mind, having a Firewall will not protect you from connecting to a Rogue Access Point. A Rogue Access Point is a Wireless Access Point, often on running on someone's PC, which diverts your web traffic through their computer before it is sent to the real access point.
