wally2187
When I run my .exe file it loads for a short amount of time. But before the program loads, I get an error message. The following message is what I get when I look at the details of the windows error prompt:AppName: steam.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.0 ModName: steamui.dllModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0008a37aI have tried running this program with absolutly NO other programs or processes running, but it still gives me this same message! I have this same problem with other programs concerning a .dill file. So I'm sure that there is a problem with my system configuration or some issue that I'm not aware of.Can anyone help me?!? This is killing me...thanks for the help,Kurt
homecomputeraid
It sounds, from doing a quick Google search, like steam.exe is related to Half-Life Valve? I saw a post about editing the Registry to fix it, but I don't recommend that unless you're pretty good with the PC.You might try uninstalling the app, running a free registry cleaner, like Macecraft's Regsupreme: http://www.macecraft.com/downloads/, then reinstalling the app.Always backup your registry before using a registry cleaner. I've seen posts on here of people who have had problems (usually minor) after running a registry cleaner. I haven't experienced problems, but be aware that it's a possibility. Also, please make sure you have the basics, Antivirus, and Spyware covered. If you're not sure you have up to date Antivirus software, start there. Next remove Spyware. Help is available here for both if you need it.Hope this helps. If you have to post for more info, please include your operating system.Sincerely,
