On our public Internet access machines, (Win XP, not SP2) the members of the public login in a limited login. Each PC has a printer attached. Sometimes a customer wants to cancel a print job, and they click on the printer on the taskbar. The window that comes up does not show the print job so they can cancel it. When staff changes to administrator login, the print job shows, and we can cancel it. I was told I need to change the printer permissions concerning the limited login. I do think this is the answer. I go into control panel/printers, right click the printer/properties. For the printers we have, there is no security tab. andsome Posted December 18, 2004 Report Share Posted December 18, 2004 If task manager for the printer is installed properly, there should be a window showing during printing, with the option to stop the printing.
