Chris
I'm trying to access a USB external Hard Drive from my laptop. The USB drive is connected to my my desktop and works perfectly as far as i know. I've enabled sharing of the drive [just like two other internal drives] and when on the laptop, viewing My Network Places I can see the external drive. However when I double click to access this drive I get the following message:I then did a google and found this JSI Tip 0153 and the registry entry is alread set to 0: [same on lap/desktop]Both Desktop and Laptop connect to a DG834G router. Desktop via LAN and Laptop via Wifi.
Chris
Solved: I had to add something to the registry on the desktop. Restarted and it worked first time :Dhttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=177078
