Sureshot
Hello all, :( Please help me, this is driving me mad!!!! I have set up page numbers in my footer section within a word document and try as a might it keeps cutting the bottom of the page number off on printing. I have the page set up in printlayout view and the number can be clearly seen as cut away. I have used help which suggests I check my printer set up, which I have done and clicked the box "minimize margins" but still it persists. I have played around with the gutter settings and page layout settings and anything else that mentions page/margin/footer!I have even set my footer "from edge" setting to 15 cm and still up in the middle of the page at the top of the footer appears half a number!!!!I am using an Epson C62 printer with Windows XPCan anyone help or get the ball rolling with suggestionsPlease??Cheers
madboy33
have you tried to do the "page set up"thats file page set upIt normally lies within the printer settings I had this problem with an old Lexmark printer, although i think i had to adjust something in printer properties, rather than in the word doc itselfmadboy33
Sureshot
you get around!Yes I have tried this and the only option I could see in the settings for the printer was an option to minimise the margins. It then warned me that the print quality would be affected in this area but still my page numbers were cut in half.its a botch job essay but wouldn't mind having whole page numbers. I have dropped my standards for the may content but there is only so far..

Sureshot
I have just had a look at another word document and spotted that the problem seems to have disappeared from that one. I then decided to look at the problem document and found that it was the way I inserted the numbers. I had originally clicked insert/page numbers and then the problem appeared.I just deleted them there and then clicked the footer and used its own tool box to inseet the page number. It seems to be ok now but what the hell is that all about. Any thoughts?

Sureshot
everything is fine now but not sure of the reason why selecting page numbers the two ways results in different results!
