Badger
I have Acronis TI 8. and I want to clone a new hard drive which I have bought.I have been reading up,all I can find,in the manual and the acronis TI forum.I came across the remark from the Aconis support Team which read "It is best to do this (Clone a HDD) from the Boot Disk.Is this correct? Perhaps bvw could help me here,as he has been answering my question re cloning, only I thought I should start a new thread. Thanks Badger
Boris
I cloned a couple of H/Ds last weekend with Acronis.I normally boot and do the cloning from the bootable CD (similarly - when I'm making backup images). Don't think there is any real reason to - but I just feel happier if there are definitely no XP services or other stuff running (which could screw things up) while I'm cloning.
