loading pages/images timeout

I have slow internet (56k) and very often, usually when loading a page with lots of pictures, it will stop loading the pictures and you will only see the top maybe 15% of the picture but internet explorer will act like the whole picture is loaded. Also when loading some large text files it will only load part of the file. I'm pretty sure this is a timeout issue. I think it starts loading a picture and when a certain time passes it gives up and goes to the next one. I've searched everywhere but can't find any solution for this and it is starting to get really annoying. Also, it does the same thing when using netscape 7.2 and mozilla. I have tried creating the ReceiveTimeout DWORD key in the registry but that didn't help. Thanks.

I'm now using a different computer and it's still doing it. I'm starting to think it's my ISP. I also did a bunch of tweaks for firefox for slow internet that helped a lot. So, it's not such a big problem anymore. Also, if I click view picture in firefox it reloads the picture itself but only to the same spot but if I click reload it usually loads the whole picture then.
