bz682
I am working on an older computer that has a 20Gb hard drive with 2 partitions. There is a 2Gb partition C:\ with windows XP and the remaining partition F:\ with files and programs. I would like to remove the partition in order to utilize the whole drive as 1 20Gb C:\ without having to reinstall windows and all programs already on the drive. CAN ANYONE HELP?!! thanks Phillip
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Application programs installed on the C: drive pose no problems. However, any applications installed on the 2nd partition need to be uninstalled before you merge the partitions, then re-installed on the enlarged primary partition. You can use Windows XP Disk Management to delete your 2nd partition, but you will need a 3rd party product like PartitionMagic to resize your primary partition.
