ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I know (I think I know) that this has been discussed here before, but I can't find it. Forum Search does not show the topic.I often search my C: drive, which contains many large CAB and ZIP files. Windows Search always searches within these archives, not only the plain uncompressed files. Searches do tend to take a very long time this way.So the question, once again: how do I stop Windows Search from searching archives? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Found this article at Annoyances.org: How to turn off Windows XP's built-in support for ZIP files.A few test searches revealed that (1) it works, and (2) that it actually does not search CAB files.
