brewster Posted February 14, 2005 Report Share Posted February 14, 2005 Hi all, my brother-in-law is having a poblem with his PC, it takes about 8 mins to startup and will it does it goes through a disk check and then finelly when it loads all the icons on the desk top it reboots and the process starts over again, we got it to go into safe mode if thats any help. can anybody help us????He is running Win XP Pro with SP2Intel P3 1Ghz256 Ram Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
bvw Posted February 14, 2005 Report Share Posted February 14, 2005 Whilst in Safe mode:Right click on My ComputerSelect PropertiesSelect the Advanced Tab->Startup & Recovery sectionSelect the Settings buttonuncheck "Automatically restart" Apply". This will give you a blue screen with the error message rather than rebooting the computer.The exact error message will help identify the problem.
