Guest Damo
To fall in line with my new domain name ive redone the site...COMPLETELY!!Hopefully its got a bit more of a professional feel to it, now ive got no stupid animated gif and counters!Bare in mind tho that these are only test pages and the final finished result maybe slightly different!www.guitar-tutor.co.ukCheers Damo

Guest Damo
Thanks, I'm glad you like it, but please bear in mind that i dont want to take anything away from Craig and this forum, As ive said in another post the aim of the forum on my website is to make the whole 'learning to play the guitar proccess' that bit more personal, more of a one to one scale, where questions can be answered on a much shorter time scale than through the traditional email and guest book way.Hopefull once ive got the rest of the site complete Im gonna be adding other things, such as video clips for people to watch and learn along to, also sound bytes for the same purpose.Hey ive gotta use up my 250mb somewhere?!! ThanksDamo

Guest Nellie2
Damo that is so good....when you get the tuning thing done I might even have a go myself. Are you going to put sounds up so people can hear what it is supposed to sound like when the guitar is in tune?? I have an acoustic guitar by the way so do that one first........please. Well done though.Just edited this post 'cos I have been back in and had another look at the forum and it looked ok this time.......obviously me and my PC playing silly tricks on me!!
mmmbisto
That's FANTASTIC! You're my savour!! I've been trying to teach myself guitar for ages now. I have an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar with amp. I've not really had the motivation nor time, but now I've seen your site, I shall certainly have a go!I didn't have any problems with the forum. What resolution do you have Nellie? My family isn't really musical it's quite interesting cos I am. I can play recorder, flute, panpipes, drums & keyboard (all self taught except flute & recorder) and I've also had a go at the sax and now I want to play guitar! lol. It's a shame my drum kit is in storage right now though... :(
peter e
It's a super site design, Damo and looks professional but has that personal touch. Everything worked fine and loaded quickly (I'm on 56K dial-up). I know you have more to do yet, but as it is now, I do like the layout, design and colours and the ideas for topics. The forum is great. What a good idea to include one. I'm sure you'll get bags of registrations. You've got the makings of a very popular site, Damo. I think it will be superb when finished.Excellent. ;) (Oh, with the exception of the forum, the other pages didn't fill my screen - about 3/4 of it. Everything was clear, though. Is it because my resolution is 1024x768?).Pete
Guest Damo
Thanks for the opinions folks.....watch this space i'll give regular updates, im now concentrating hard on getting everything finished, I wasnt even gonna but it up yet, but couldnt resist!! :D Pete, dont worry about the main site not filling the whole of your browser, Its designed like that. Dunno why, just fancied making it smaller! :o Hopefully the forum will encourage a few more people to take up playing the guitar and be able to recieve help on a one to one scale, bloody pain to set up tho....Craig knows the problems ive been having with it! ;) Glad everyone likes it!Thanks a lot :) Damo
Prince of Calcutta
very well done damo! :D the text seems to over lap at different resolutions though .. or is it just me .. ?
Guest Damo
Yup...think its you there prince, If i remember correctly, you've changed from 96dpi to 120 dpi, that could be why.......Ive tested it on about 6 different machines all running different O/S's and different browsers and ive not spotted anything...Hmmmmmm strange...you've got me puzzled now! :D
Prince of Calcutta
:o yeah you're right.......120 dpi , i'll have to reduce it and try your site ;) :D
