Guest valerio.donati
Hi All,i have problems burning with a QSI SBW-161 cd burner on a gericom webgine XL laptop. Here's the story so far: the burner used to work fine until i decided to install linux on my laptop. since the first time i tried to burn something with cdrecord i got always the same error ("Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0"). After that I thought it was a matter of incompatibility between Linux & my cd burner, so i decided to reinstall WinXP. Now, when i burn my cds I don't recieve any kind of error (I use Nero 5.0) and also the data verification goes fine, but at the end the cd is unreadable! What happened? I can stand that my cd burner is damaged, but why nero tells me that everything went ok? Is there a way to check it / fix it anyway? Thanks in advance
scuzzman
have you checked the drivers and verified their integrity/reinstalled them?
Guest valerio.donati
you mean the ASPI drivers or the CDRW ones? bc no driver came along the drivers package fo the laptop and it is already detected by windows.and about the ASPI, if i use nero do i have to install them anyway? Thanks
