Cant access the internet

My kids fetched their PC back on Saturday.I chucked in a nic ,connected them using a xover cable and Bingo,all was well.

Yesterday,due to my own stupidity,I had to reformat this (host) PC :huh:

After reinstalling the basics,I put the nic back in and ran the wizard on both PCs.

I can share files between the PCs and stuff but can't access the internet on other PC.

I ran network troubleshooter and changed the gateway to 192.168.1.0 like it said and renewed something or other using ipconfig or winconfig or summat...then it all got a bit scary and complex :unsure:

EDIT...The other PC has started doing odd things so I'm going to reformat it...Get rid off all the garbage my kids have filled it with ;)
