masefield Posted April 2, 2005 Report Share Posted April 2, 2005 Please can someone help a bit of a non-techie.I have a Belkin 4 port Cable/DSL Gateway Router (wire based). Yesterday I had a laptop and a desktop connected to the router and they were/are working today. I have purchased another desk top pc today for my other son. On the front panel the LAN lights show a connection for the two desk top pcs and they are working very well but now I can't seem to establish a connection from another port to the lap top as the appropriate port light is not on. I thought at first it was the cable but I have tried the cable from one of the known ports and it works. Please help I think I must be doing something wrong. Thanks.
