micken
I have two SATA drives on a RAID 0+1 array that has degraded. At each boot up Windows XP installs them as new hardware and tells me that I need to reboot in order for them to work properly. This is despite the system booting up from one of them in the first place.I've checked in the BIOS but nothing appears to be wrong there.Any ideas? micken
Thanks Hurdy, that looks correct. The instructions in the motherboard manual were misleading. I've just checked on a downloaded acrobat document. Should be able to resolve the issue now.
micken
Just for the record I have now resolved this, the full problem related to a degraded mirrored array that actually showed up as two mirrored arrays. Win XP was installing the extra drive at each boot-up.I've now rebuilt the original array and the system is happy.
