patagon Posted May 4, 2005 Report Share Posted May 4, 2005 I am behind a University firewall HTTP proxy server which allows me basic access to HTTP/S and FTP protocols. What I am wondering is if there is a way to use this proxy server and tunnel through it or bypass it completely somehow to use services that aren't on port 80/21/443. You should abide by them :D Second, the only way I could think of is to set said program to use port 80 instead of it's default port. I'm not sure if MSN allows this or not. homecomputeraid Posted May 4, 2005 Report Share Posted May 4, 2005 I'm going to go with Redhat but add that if you could tunnel (VPN), you'd have to have a device or network to tunnel to.
