adidaseightythree
heyI'm trying to fix a friends computer (I am in second year college) and I'm wondering if I can get some help on this. Before post, I get 3 long system beeps. From what I've found out, it's a Base 64K mem failure. On researching on how to correct it, I found it could be caused by dust or improper connections. Is there anything else I can do?Jay
scuzzman
Indeed, sounds like a memory failure. Hopefully, one of the memory modules are just improperly seated. Try removing, then reinserting them both. If that doesn't fix it, remove one and try it -- then remove the other. This will at least aid you in determining which is faulty.
