I had just updated it and it had reopened. I closed it because I keep running programs to a minimum as I only have 128Mb of RAM. As soon as I moved my cursor over the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar, the icon went black as I clicked it. I got a box that said Windows Explorer had a General Protection Fault and it would now close. It occurred in Module GDI.exe at 0001:000093el. What does the GDI.exe do exactly?? I had to reboot from the Ctrl+Alt+Del box.Any help you can provide with this would be greatly appreciated. That has been repaired in the causative program and everything is fine now. Thank you again for your interest and input.
