tony-fr-si
Hi:I've recently installed Verizon DSL on my PC.I was told by their tech support rep, that runnimg webroot spysweeper impacts the speed of DSL! They recomend that I don't run any software that works like spysweeeper. Do you all agreed with them?PC Profile:Windows XP/sp2Pentium 41 gbs RAMWebroot SpysweeperNorton Antivirus 2005Windows XP Fire WallThanks for your feedback.Tony
scuzzman
That's not exactly true. Webroot constantly runs in the background constantly scanning, so it doesn't slow your DSL (your DSL tier speeds and bitrates will remain constant) but it may slow your computer performance and the rendering of pages (making your DSL appear slower). r4may
I would keep spysweeper as it will stops most spyware quite effectively.Spyware would slow your computer much more than the scanner.
