How To Post A New Topic or Reply

I've been asked this a few times now, so maybe it is time to post a topic about it! :D

"How do I post a new topic/reply to a topic?"

That's easy. There are actually three ways to reply. Quick Reply, New Reply, and Quote.

• Quick Reply - Open the topic you wish to reply to. Scroll down the the bottom of the thread (all the posts), and click "Quick Reply". This will open the "Fast Reply" dialog box. You can type your message, or "Show Smilies Pop Up Window" for smilies and emoticons. You can also enable e-mail notification of replies which will send an e-mail to the registered e-mail for the user with a notice of a new reply. Try it! :)
  
  
• New Reply - Right beside the "Quick Reply", this feature gives you a few more options, as well as some bbcode options. I suggest using this method until you are comfortable with smilies and bbcode. For example,

  shows the :rolleyes: emoticon, just the same as clicking it on the left or in the smilies popup window.
  
  

• Quote - There are actually two different ways to quote as well. You can simply quote one person by clicking the green "Quote Post" button under the user. It will automatically add the following code into a "New Reply"

  [right][snapback=154083][/right]
  [/quote]

  
  This will make the quote box appear around the users message, as well as the Users Name and Time of post.
  
  The "snapback" is there so people browsing can easily find the post you are quoting.
  
  Example:

  This shows the code entered without the

 syntax.

You can also quote multiple posts by clicking the "Quote +" button underneath each post you wish to quote. It will add the code the same as above, but each selected quote will appear instead of just one.
That's it! You can start a new topic by clicking "New Topic" in the forum, or reply to a topic or post using the above methods.
