Microsoft AntiSpyware

Recommended Posts

During a recent manual defrag I noticed a very large file, errors.log, in the Microsoft AntiSpyware folder. The file is 4GB (4,294,967,299 bytes) in size! I am unable to open it with anything (even winvi), so I have no idea what it contains.

Anyone else noticing this file being so large?

Any idea what it is?

I have been able to examine the file (with Firefox), and it contained the following line

91::ln 0:Object variable or With block variable not set::gcasDtServ:modThreatData:Initialize::2005-06-18 21:27:34:1.0.509

about 35 million times! I shut down Microsoft AntiSpyware, deleted the file, restarted my system, and everything is fine :)
