matthewmclaughlin2001 Posted June 24, 2005 Report Share Posted June 24, 2005 My computer seems to be in some kind of recent fad about not letting me rename or delete certain files of mine. For instance, if I try to rename or delete specific files, I get a message that says, "Cannot delete (whatever). It is being used by another person or program." andsome Posted June 24, 2005 Report Share Posted June 24, 2005 In XP, control/alt/delete will bring up task manager and show you what programs are running. If you close the programs one at a time, and try to delete a stubborn file, you will eventually find which running program is giving the trouble.
