Lexmark x1170 All-in-one

Recommended Posts

Strange problem.. I don't have much info other than the computer was "destroyed" either by lightning, or possibly plugging the keyboard into the mouse slot (the keyboard and motherboard were fried, but all other components OK) anyways, I got a new computer, installed windows, everything was going well, untill I tried to plug in the Lexmark X1170 USB printer.

The strange part is, if the printer is plugged in (usb) when the power is turned on, the computer does not post. If it is unplugged when power is turned on, but plugged in after POST, the computer freezes. Once windows is loaded, and the desktop showing, the printer can be plugged in and used normally.

I'd rather not have to unplug the printer every time I start. Seen this before? I sure havent....
