ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
A few weeks ago I had posted a thread with this title in the HijackThis forum. The ZoneAlarm icon in the systray kept indicating unexplained network activity At the time I have been wondering how to tell what the source of this network activity was. Today I found the answer: ZoneAlarm can show me the originating application!Opening ZoneAlarm shows the following on top of the panelWhen the meter on the left side (INTERNET) indicates traffic, then the causing program icon on the right side (PROGRAMS) will blink. (MouseOver the icons will show the program names).Additionally, the STOP button can shut off Internet access instantly, and the LOCK button can lock Internet access completely.Maybe this is all common knowledge, but it was a great revelation to me when I found this accidentally today :blush:Reading program documentation sometimes helps a lot, but with so many applications installed, who has time to read all the docs... Tony
HiI found that out a year or so ago, just like you did by accident. But thanks for taking the time to write it up (with pictures) and post it here, as i am sure there or a lot of Zone Alarm users here that don't know this.Tony
