But I have no problems; full administrator control (over the local computer).What are the things you cannot do? Maybe that could give us a hint what's wrong. If you changed them, you may need to reboot Windows after.If you did not change them, then I have no more answers. callousdivine Posted August 7, 2005 Report Share Posted August 7, 2005 How did you set up your user as an administrator? Did you set it up through Control Panel > Users , or did you right click My Computer > Manage...? If you did the Control Panel route, then I recommend you login as Administrator (just to make sure you have full rights, of course), right click My Computer (from the desktop), click Manage... You should get a new form to appear called 'Computer Management.' In the left pane, you will see three main folders. The first folder is System Tools. Inside of that, there's a subfolder called Local Users and Groups. Inside of that are two folders, Users then Groups. Go inside the Groups folder, and in the right pane, double click Administrators and make sure your username is also listed in there. If Administrator is the only one listed, click add, type your username, then click Check Names button to the right and click ok. Logout and login as your username and see if that fixed it.
