Guest moon
One major bottleneck in helping peeps towards sweet running , particularly noobs, is getting an adequate description of their rig and contents. PC Pitstop have a 'Tech Express' facility, free, which would enable all here to view the subject and help with an analysis. For example, this is my current machine ( soon to be replaced, hastily added !!) Do not take the P. I am sensitive. :D http://www.pcpitstop.com/TechExpress.asp?i...MJMWWCF7APSYLKB

madboy33
HammerSlammerwhy have you got a lower score than me then?thats strange your score should be higher, however, i see that you have acrobat reader load at startup and also the nvdia help file as well
Guest moon
That's it . I'm out of here ! I'll be back with a new 'sheen. :D
Guest HammerSlammer
Well I just ran that test in the "as she sits" mode. You can actually play with some of your settings to increase your score(resolution, startup programs,etc.):http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?i...0RNVWAFR4PSEKKB I don't really think of the pitstop tests as a true benchmark, it's more of a diagnostic tool. How does your machine score on pcmark or 3dmark:http://service.futuremark.com/compare?pcm=1048082http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=4962601

Guest moon
LOL ! Yes, but it's working OK. :) It's easy to get sucked into the 'score' game at the Pit. It's kept my old rig up and running, despite being well out of date, and that's the important thing from my angle. 'Course, if I had a big flash machine like you guys....................... :)EDIT : The Pit database only holds your Tech Express results for seven days. You'll have to archive them somehow, or refresh your results, if you want a thread like this to survive for longer.
