Sometimes when I boot up world of warcraft or other 3D games the graphics will freeze for a couple of seconds, i can still move the mouse around. then after about 8 seconds my graphics "break"

I get this graphical problem. My graphics are then also broken in other games... e.g.

and for a comparison of where the pixelation takes place...

If i reset the problem is fixed until next time.

I have the latest graphics drivers (v77.77) from nvidia.

have you any idea how to fix this or what the problem may be? If my graphics card is just plain broken then i have another less powerful one i can use if theres no other option.

The problem started when I traveled with my pc from one location to another for a LAN and i am currently on a different monitor if that may effect things.

Thanks for your time and help!

A different monitor can't affect this ... Never heard of that ...

You may try to reinstall Directx, and maybe the last version of it...

And if you can check if the cooler on the video card is still working then do that also ... And cancel any overclock you have done... :)

And you may try Everest to see if it can give you a hint on your video card temperatures...

another option is to try an older version of the drivers... the last one is not the best one in many cases...
