Add/Remove programs problem

Recommended Posts

WELCOME to NP. You don't say what operating sytem is installed . If XP, you could try 'Start/Run then type sfc /scannow, leaving a space after sfc. You will need your system disc. This will replace any missing or corrupt files. If you use 98 or 98SE, type sfc without the /scannow. That's all that I can think of. Maybe someone else has other ideas.

Hello KC72. This article applies to win 2000 but probably also applies to XP. have a look at Microsoft knowledge base article > Add/Remove programs window will not open...when I click....

Don't forget to back up your registry and save to the desktop before making any changes, if it does not work you can then restore your current registry.
