Sharing Aol and Networking

I use AOL Broadband, the silver version, its useful for my needs but i was told and have read you cannot share this broadband connection through a network, is this true?, i arnt no expert on home networking, could somebody guide me throught the process of sharing aol on more than one computer, i am not intrested in wireless connection but a simple crossover cable, has i will only be wanting to connect two pcs, but not my laptop.

In order to just connect two PC's, you'll need to Network Interface Cards (NIC's) in one of them, and you'll have to configure the one with two NIC's as a router. A safer alternative is to get a home Switch/Firewall/Router and plug both PC's into that. You'll probably have to configure the router for PPPoE. You'll set your user ID and Password into the Router. If you decide to do this and need help with that, please post the model of Router you get.
