andsome
Is this necessary for all users? I don't log on or off, I just click on close down. I never get any problems with this, it always closes down cleanly and quickly.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
It is mainly for users who share one Windows system with different logons. If you are the single user of a PC with only one userid, then you don't need to bother.

If you are the single user of a PC with only one userid, then you don't need to bother.I had to use this s/w, even though my system is only used by myself. This quote is taken from the download page-On Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 either event ids 1517 and 1524 indicate the same profile unload problem. My system started to take an age to log off and I noticed there were entries in event viewer with the id codes 1517 and 1524. Turned out they were being generated by ZoneAlarm. So I downloaded this s/w and the problem went away :) So you may need this s/w on a standalone system, but you only really need to use it if you get the error codes in event viewer. I don't need to use it now as after installing later versions of ZoneAlarm, the problem was corrected.
