sapins
I used DI7 to backup the whole of my main drive, I could not restore this after a total crash caused by faulty RAM. After reinstalling XP Home SP2 then installing DI7 I have accessed the saved file and recovered all the data except the Windows file, which I don't need. I "recovered" all the other data and restored it to the relevant folder e.g. Documents and Settings from the saved file to Documents and settings on the new installation. The problem is I cannot run restored programmes or access other data i.e. Favorites, e-mails etc; I can see all of these in Windows Explorer, but, the programmes are not listed in All Programmes, how do I access them? r4may
This May work but not sure as I have never used DI7 to backup works OK with Ghost. If you put the application shortcut into Documents and settings/XXX/start menu/programs XXX= All users for Global or your username for you only it may work.or copy from your backup Documents and settings/XXX/start menu program folders to the relevent Documents and settings/XXX/start menu but the applications MUST be in the same directory paths as the backup.
