Floppy drive when booting up

Hi all!

My damn floppy drive is getting on my nerves. I never use it so de-activating it wouldnt be a problem.

The issue is, when i start up my PC and click on my name to log in i have to wait until my floppy drives light flashes and for it to make a noise before i can do anything. Everything has loaded but if i do ANYTHING apart from moving my mouse my pc crashes. Once the floppy drive has made a noise and flashes im free to do anything.

Its really starting to annoy me, is there anyway i can stop this.

Thanks in advance :D

Looks like you have the floppy as a first or early boot device. If you're happy about going into the BIOS then change the order of booting so that the floppy isn't at the top of the list.

The detail of how to do this varies with the motherboard so check in your motherboard manual, chack on line or give details of your motherboard here and someone may be able to look it up for you.
