Adobe Reader 6 Released

Adobe has released version 6 of it's free popular PDF viewing software and changed the name from "Adobe Acrobat Reader" to just "Adobe Reader".

There are 2 versions available....Basic 8.7MB and Full 15.3MB (recommended).

Adobe Reader 6.0 is free software that lets you view and print Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on a variety of hardware and operating system platforms. Adobe Reader 6.0 is the newest version of the familiar Adobe Acrobat Reader software. It also replaces Adobe Acrobat eBook Reader, software for viewing high-fidelity eBooks on your notebook or desktop computer.

Submit Adobe PDF forms that are created with fillable form fields in such applications as Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional and Adobe Form Designer

Play back a variety of embedded multimedia content, such as QuickTime and MP3 files

Read and organize high-fidelity eBooks

Activate search and accessibility capabilities built into your PDF files

Display Adobe Photoshop® Album slide shows and electronic cards and export images for online photo processing (online photo services vary regionally)

I would recommend removing Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 first, before installing this.  Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 stayed onto my system as Adobe Reader 6 was installed.

Found this from someone who has already installed the new version.

Update...

It's true, remove older versions first. This new version installs to Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0.

First Impressions....Looks alot better than the older version. Let's hope it isn't as 'dodgy' as the older version. I have had tons of attempts at downloading the 'ATI Driver Release Notes' when they release them in PDF format. Older versions seemed to struggle abit.
