timso14
I was recently messing around with my system, to try and solve a problem with my local area network, i stupidly disabled my only administrator account, and didnt create a new one. the next time i booted i could not login as the administrator so i had to login using a standard user, i went back to control panel/performance and maintenance/administrative tools/computer management/local users and groups/users where i had previously disabled the administrator, and tryed clearing 'account is disabled', however it wouldn't allow me because i didnt have administrator privileges. So i need to be the administrator to re-enable the only administrator account i have. ive tried modifying the registry but i need to be the administrator for that as well. ive tried safe mode, it doesn't let you log on as the administrator there either. What can i do to activate my administrator account?
nellie2
You could try this, I don't know anyone who has used it, but a bit of searching on the net shows a few people who had the same problem as yours and this app seemed to solve the problem. Let me know how it goes.http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
