arsinfo
I'm running DOS clients programs. The source databases and executables are in a windows2003 server. The executtion has low performance at the clients. The programs run faster if the server has instaled windows 98. Why?. Can I change something to improve the performance?. Thank you.. -pops-
May be completely wrong on this but, is this something to do with the fact that current NT versions of Windows do not operate from an MS DOS engine?

The server has the files only. I can run this program at the console (cmd) on windows 2003 svr, but the svr is only that, files server. The perfom was affected severily after I've instaled win 2003 svr instead win98 on my server. Thank you.

ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
It could be a problem with the network performance. Also, defragmenting the server's file system (regularly) may help.
