watersprite Posted March 12, 2006 Report Share Posted March 12, 2006 Hello,A peculiar thing happened today, and though it doesn't really bother me (in fact, I kind of like it), I'd like to know how it happened, and I hope someone can help me.My graphics card is a Radeon 9800 Pro (128 MB), and it comes with the ATI Multimedia Center (DVD player, etc.). I'm not sure exactly what happened, but when I went to play a DVD earlier tonight, it seemed that the ATI Multimedia Center had been uninstalled (I may have done this at some point in the past in preparation for installing the latest version, and just never got around to the new installation). In any event, I reinstalled the entire ATI package using the original installation CD. The Multimedia Center is installed again, and it's working just fine. However...Once I finished the installation and re-started the computer, I noticed something that had never happened before; the taskbar had decided to reside on the secondary monitor! I'm not sure how it got there, and I can't seem to figure out how, if I so desire, to get it back to the primary monitor. At this point, I'm actually finding it kind of nice, as the programs displayed on the primary monitor are now truly "full screen". Looking over at the secondary monitor to deal with the taskbar might take a bit of getting used to, but I might just leave it alone for a while to see if I really like it this way. Still though, if I do decide that it's just too strange, can someone please let me know how I can move the taskbar back to the primary monitor?Thanks! Though the first thing I tried was based on the correct concept (unlocking and dragging the taskbar from one monitor to the other), I apparently didn't drag it in such a manner to get it to move entirely out of the monitor it was already on.
