bkeritk
Hi everyone.I'm not sure if this is a windows related problem and I've tried to search google and this forum for a solution but I have come up empty handed. I am having several weird problems when typing and mouse clicking:When typing in MS Word or in Mozilla, sometimes the open file dialouge or other shortcut will appear for no reason. It appears to happen when I hit the letter of the shortcut. At first I thought I was hitting the control button by accident while typing, but I'm positive that isn't the problem. The problem happens so intermittenly, that I can't pinpoint what is really going on.Sometimes when I right click for to display a menu, the menu flashes for a second and dissapears. The only quick fix is to right click and hold for a second. When using 3D Studio Max, a left click after moving a group of verticies in the perspective viewport, will make a camera appear. I will have to ctrl z to make the camera go away so I can continue working. This happens everytime.I have no idea what the problem could be, but it's getting really annoying. I don't know if I should reinstall some drivers or if anyone has a better solution, but I appriciate the help. Thank you.
-pops-
What type of mouse/keyboard do you have? Is is wired in or wireless? If wireless, do the batteries need replacing or recharging? Have you tried using a different mouse and/or keyboard?
bkeritk
Keyboard and mouse are wired. Havent tried a different mouse or keyboard cause the problems occured at the same time, which leads me to believe it's a different problem. Keyboard: Dell QuietKeyMouse: MS IntelliMouse (optical usb)
bkeritk
I just switched the mouse and rolled back the drivers. This had no effect. Not sure what to do - Im not even sure how to search for the problem.
-pops-
I've done some searching about this problem as well and not found anything constructive.I think it would be worthwhile trying out a different keyboard and mouse if you can. I may be a physical effect like dropped crumbs in both (this does happen!)
