Dan12 Posted March 21, 2006 Report Share Posted March 21, 2006 Hi and evening.Can anyonre give me an explanation as to what each are... usb hub which have found out by buying one and setting up but in the device manager there is also universal host controller.plus a usb root hub. -pops- Posted March 23, 2006 Report Share Posted March 23, 2006 As I understand it, the USB host controller is equivalent to a "driver" and provides the controlling software for the USB root hub which is the base level hardware and circuitry on the motherboard that supplies connection with the outside world and provides the signal for processing by the host controller.Not explained very well but I hope you can understand what I mean :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
