doug
My M/B is an Elite K7S5A and presently has 512MB PC2100 memory as a single 184 pin stick. The M/B has 2 184 pin slots and 2 168 pin slots. As it's my birthday coming up herself said that present you asked the family for is too cheap so order something else as well. So as my M/B will take up to 1 Gig of memory I'm about to order another stick from Crucial. However it has done a scan and is recommending a PC 2700. My question is "is it wise to run 2 different standards" or will the new one gear down to match the PC 2100? Advice please.
