LRN
I used to be able to hold the Shift key, and left click the mouse to select a bunch of items. Now the Shift key only locks the cursor from moving. What happened? How do I change it back? Has anyone heard of this? Please help me. Thank you. -pops-
Does/did this happen with all programs? If I press Shift and the left click the mouse in Firefox a new Firefox page opens. Likewise with I.E.If I do the same in Word the cursor changes to a bold format but changes back as soon as the next action is carried out. LRN
Hello, and welcome to the Windows Forum.Sorry, never heard of such a problem. The cursor locks up as soon as I press the left mouse button. So I can't select or deselct anything until I let go of the mouse. The Shift key works fine for everything else. I can do Caps, and all that. I am using a Gyration Cordless Optical mouse and keyboard combo. I thought maybe it was them, but they are both on the same channel, and seem to communicate fine. I am still not ruling out that it's a hardware issue though. I am on Windows Media Center 2004 Edition.
