Snooz48 Posted April 9, 2006 Report Share Posted April 9, 2006 I am using Windows Xp and when I recently tried to use the Add/Remove in Windows, I got an error messag, "Parse Error & on line 1. I upgraded from Windows 98 a long time ago, and I am presently on SP2. When I tried to used my original xp cd, it said that my cd was an earlier version than what is in the machine and asked if I wanted to continue. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted April 9, 2006 Report Share Posted April 9, 2006 If its something you have had installed under Win98, then it may be difficult to uninstall.Try the original program install folder; it may contain an uninstaller.As a last resort you can try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, but this will only remove the invalid Add/Remove entry, not the program itself. Probably a couple of years. I have used Add/Remove before without any problems. This just happened recenlty when I was going to try to clean up my hard disk of programs that I no longer use.
