XE800 Posted April 10, 2006 Report Share Posted April 10, 2006 I have changed the original startup sound with one that is about 30 secs long. Unfortunately it will only play for 10 secs. Because I've checked my startup folder and MSConfig and I see no reason why the sound should be stopped after only 10 secs.Have you tried an even longer sound? I also tried disabling all services that are not crucial, but then I ended up getting no sound at all (I tried leaving Windows Audio running, but it seems audio relies on some other service too). Then why doesn't mine?? The file I want to play is this one: http://rapidshare.de/files/14418444/nokias...ramais.mp3.html I used EtalonSoft MP3Decode to transfer it from mp3 to wav, and I ended up with a 5Mb file. XE800 Posted April 10, 2006 Author Report Share Posted April 10, 2006 Heh, strange. Your sound played about 1 min 57-58 secs before getting chopped off (it was supposed to play 4m12s).
