KoolNeil Posted April 14, 2006 Report Share Posted April 14, 2006 Hi all.I have the Java 2 Runtime Environment, S.E 1.4.2_03 installed.However, for some reasons i get the weird problem when you get a box around any java applet and have to click on it to make it work. So, i tried to update it to the latest java and it installs it perfectly except i then get a red x on every java applet saying it could not be loaded.I went into add/remove programs and found 2 javas there. The new one aswell as the old one. I tried to uninstall the old one but there was no button to do it, it just highlights when i click it with no 'uninstall button'.I cannot understand what to do.Can anybody help? With 1.5 or higher, you need only this version, with previous versions you may need multiple instances of Java RTE.Also, do you still have the old Java folder with all its contents?
