Adela
(WinXP Pro, OE 6.0, IE 6.0, Dell Dimension XPS T450MHz Pentium III)Hello, I wonder if anyone experienced this with google:When I had win98se I installed Google Toolbar and Search Engine and it was fine. After installing recently XP Pro, the toolbar itself disappeared, so I re-downloaded it...but it didn't bring out the toolbar, only the search engine page which I use as my first page (it's called browser I believe?). Before downloading, when I read about their "advanced features" I decided I didn't want them to get that much more into my computer affairs and I clicked "no" - could this be the problem? I wouldn't think so, but...Thanks for any suggestions. Adela
Scarecrow Man
The 'advanced features' send information to google based on your searching habits. This will not affect your toolbar. You may need to uninstall the toolbar, and re-install it from http://toolbar.google.com/index_2. If it still does not show up, you may need to turn it on under view > toolbars > google toolbar in Internet Explorer.
Adela
Oh thanks so much! I followed your advice to go to view, toolbar, google first....and lo and behold! It worked! Thanks again! :) Adela P.S. I wish I had asked you first before having spent about an hour looking for the answer in Google's site...
