Is it possible to run windows and say linux at the same time? Is there software that allows you to have both running?

Yes, and I have Windows XP Professional host running a Windows 2000 Server and a Gentoo Linux OS at the same time. (that's 3 OS's at once) and I am only using an Intel Mobile Centrino with 1GB of RAM.

VMWare

I think VMware is fine up to a limit; VT may be the real thing.

I have spent months to get a Japanized application to link with Borland Delphi on Japanese Windows under VMware. The applications would never execute! I finally found that there is no problem when linking the apps under native Windows.

I see that I need to be more clear.

I saw that article before. I read it about 3 minutes before I posted this question. What it didn't touch on is where you get the software to run VT in a more native mode, utilizing the HW support in the new processors. An i right in saying that VMware lets you emualte VT, rather than running the 2 OS's natively? Or am I misunderstanding the purpose?

I am assuming that someone (Intel) will release software that will allow you to boot/run 2 OS's at the same time. This is the software that I was referring to. If it is not out there yet, it seems like a bit of a paper launch of a "new and not available" technology. Or are 3rd parties (Redhat, M$, etc...) going to release software to utilize native VT support?
