Well i have found the problem is my internet security. Norton Internet Security 2006. Ive disabled the ad blocker (as suggested on yahoos website) but it did not work. NIS is a massive system hog and isnt even that good, i now use NOD32 & Zone Alarm Pro, much better and it frees up extra system resources.
