But here is a quick reminder for you anyway.Winpatrol runs in the background and uses very little system resources, it sits in your system tray and gives you an amazing amount of information about what is running on your system and enables you to manage your startups, cookies, services, tasks etc quickly and easily. If you look in the startup tab for instance, it will tell you all the programs that run at start up... ok so if you run msconfig you can get a list of startup programs.. but what msconfig doesn't give you is information on each item to help you make an informed decision about whether an application is actually needed at startup. Winpatrol will also give you the option to either remove or disable an item too.I like the easy way I can manage my cookies using Winpatrol. :)Scotty stands on guard alerting you to programs that want to run at start up or put an icon in your system tray or change your settings and gives you the option to allow or deny.Winpatrol comes in two flavours, there is a free version and a PLUS version. I would highly recommend that you treat yourself to the PLUS version, click here for more information about the benefits of Winpatrol PLUS.So what's the competition?
