The engineer who configured it so that all options are greyed out even for admin. He must've made a registry or system32 change. It turns out the users do need the ability to change at "their" convenience. As in some cases the users have been rebooted and don't have the chance to save what they've been working on. Does anybody know how I can set this back to default and give a "standard" user the ability to do the updates manually? Currently I believe you must be admin.Thanks to all in advance. -pops- Posted May 11, 2006 Report Share Posted May 11, 2006 The best, possibly only, approach here is to get the "engineer" back and get him to organise the systems according to what you want and not what he thinks you ought to have. Only the "engineer" knows what he did to put you in this less than satisfactory situation and it is his responsibility to put it right.
