Deleting a single partititon

ok my computer started acting up

microsoft does it again

now i only have 1 hardrive installed and am in no position to go out and purchase another one

believe me

college has me broke

now is there any way to complete delete the partiiont hat I have now

so that I may start again with a fresh one.

I dont care if I lose all the files i backed it all up on cd's

so can anyone please tell me how to do this

delete a single partition to install a fresh one

The easiest way if you have access to another computer and not concerned about losing files is to install the drive into that computer and carry out a full format.

If it is not the system partition you should be able to select the partition in win explorer, right click on the partition, and select format. this will format in Fat or NFTS as you select in the format options. you can also set the partition name.

Not sure what would happen on the system partition.
